Cardiovascular Care
Passionate about addressing the problem of cardiovascular disease in women, the Sacred Heart Women’s Health Center, in conjunction with the Medical Center’s renowned Cardiac Services, has developed Heart-to-Heart, a program specifically designed for women. At the “heart” of this program is the opportunity for you to have a health assessment to determine your risk for cardiovascular disease.Maternity and Infant Care
As women (and moms, too!), we understand the things you’ll want when it comes time to deliver your new baby. You want experienced nurses who offer compassion and support, the assurance of having a trained obstetrician and anesthesiologist available 24 hours a day, the assistance of nurses who can help you and your baby learn to breastfeed … and probably more than anything, dignity and privacy as you share these moments with your family.We asked women to tell us what they wanted and then we took the appropriate steps to make those things reality. You’ll find our maternity services will offer you and your baby the best start you could hope for.
Mother-Baby Time offers support for new moms
The transition to motherhood can have its challenges—adapting to a new schedule, trying to make the best decisions for the baby and still handling other normal responsibilities. Sometimes, even a seasoned mom can become frazzled when another baby joins the family. Many women find great assurance and relief in connecting with other women who are sharing similar experiences.That’s why the Women’s Health Center is proud to offer Mother-Baby Time, a support group for moms with new babies, meeting every Wednesday at 10 a.m. You bring your baby and we’ll bring in a lactation consultant/nurse specialist to answer your questions and offer resources. Park in the pay lot on the corner of 7th Avenue and McClellan Street, enter the Women’s Health Center, take the elevators to the Main Floor and follow the signs the Peaceful Place meditation room.

Outpatient Services
The Women’s Health Center is committed to making health education and services convenient.If you live in the Spokane region, join us for our educational forums, held twice each month at Sacred Heart Medical Center in the Women's Health Center's Avista Classroom. Our expert staff members will share the latest with you about nutrition, fitness and a variety of health conditions women face.
You might also benefit from blood pressure, osteoporosis and heart health screenings in an easy-to-access outpatient setting.
For women in rural communities in Eastern Washington and Northern Idaho, the Women’s Health Center Coach travels to physicians’ offices, schools and shopping centers to offer osteoporosis and mammography screenings, plus personalized education.
