The study focused on hospitals that treat the full spectrum of cardiology patients; from those who do not require invasive procedures to those needing an angioplasty or an open-heart surgery. The data used for this study are from Solucient's hostpial databases and MedPAR(Medicare Provider Analysis and Review).
